ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Although the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners held a special board meeting yesterday where it was decided to include Friday, January 2, 2009 as a one-time county holiday, the Alachua County Rural Collection Centers will not be affected. The five Alachua County Rural Collection Centers will maintain regular hours of operation.
The Leveda Brown Environmental Park and Transfer Station will be closed on January 1st, and will resume regular hours of operation on Friday, January 2nd.
