September 18 to 24 is Child Passenger Safety Week

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Florida Department of Health in Alachua County will host two events for Child Passenger Safety Week. On September 20, 2016, in the main parking lot of the Health Department (224 S.E. 24th Street, Gainesville), and September 22, at Faith Mission (3701 N.E. 15th Street, Gainesville), Alachua County residents can get their child seats checked by a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. Free educational materials will be available. Those wanting to participate in these events must schedule an appointment (appointments are made between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.).

Car seats will also be sold for $45 (or $20 for those on public assistance). Payment is cash only.
