July Animal Adoption Events

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County Animal Services is hosting and participating in several adoption events during July, 2014.

The schedule of events includes:

·         July 11 - Earthwise Pet (4106 NW 16th Blvd, Gainesville) - Kittens will be available for adoption starting at 10 a.m.

·         July 12 - Jailed in July – 103.7 The Gator’s JJ Thomas will be ‘jailed’ at the shelter.  To bail him out the shelter must meet the adoption quota of 19 animals for the day.

·         July 13 - Earth Pets (404 NW 10th Ave, Gainesville) - Animals will be available for adoption from noon to 4 p.m.

·         July 18 - Earthwise Pet (4106 NW 16th Blvd, Gainesville) - Kittens will be available for adoption starting at 10 a.m.

·         July 19 - Gator Day - Gator mascots (Albert and Alberta) will be visiting the shelter from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.  All adopters wearing orange and blue will get a free goodie bag for their pet.

·         July 25 - Earthwise Pet (4106 NW 16th Blvd, Gainesville) – Kittens will be available for adoption starting at 10 a.m.

·         July 26 - Beach Party Bash – Animal Services Headquarters will be holding a beach themed adoption party from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

From June 1, to August 31, adoption fees are waived, making every animal free to qualified applicants. All cats and dogs are examined, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to leaving Animal Services. The County's goal is to save 2,500 animals in 92 days.

Adoptable animals are available at the Alachua County Animal Services Headquarters (3400 NE 53rd Ave, Gainesville), Monday through Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
