Security

The Security Team is dedicated to protecting critical infrastructure through access control, threat detection, and cybersecurity measures. Applications and systems are continuously monitored and enhanced to maintain peak performance and ensure compliance with the latest security standards. Additionally, security awareness training is provided to county staff, equipping them with the knowledge to recognize and respond to potential threats.

Telecom

The Telecom Team strives to provide seamless communication through the design, implementation, and management of reliable telecom systems. Specializing in network connectivity, voice communication, and data transmission services, the team enables efficient and secure communication across Alachua County.

Networking

The Network Team is responsible for maintaining and supporting the County's server infrastructure and central storage, administering the Microsoft Office 365 and ENTRA environments, and overseeing support and device management for County-issued cell phones. Additionally, the team manages the County's Disaster Recovery system, ensuring reliable data backup and restoration services for the Board of County Commissioner Departments and the Supervisor of Elections Office.

Applications

​The Applications Team is dedicated to providing application support throughout the organization. The Applications Team handles technical challenges related to applications, including website development, software training, third-party software integration and implementation, as well as database services. Responsibilities also include effectively managing applications for County services and programs, ensuring accessibility and transparency, and enhancing the overall experience for visitors of the Alachua County Website.

Client Services

The Client Services Team is committed to ensuring seamless technology operations and exceptional customer support across the organization. Responsibilities include addressing technical issues, troubleshooting hardware and software challenges, and supporting BoCC meetings. Additional functions include account creation and administration, new device setup, and computer replacement deployment.​
