ST. AUGUSTINE, FL - At the Florida City and County Managers Association (FCCMA) Annual Conference in St. Augustine, FL,  FCCMA President Ed Mitchell, City Administrator of Palm Beach, FL., awarded the prestigious "President's Award" to Alachua County Manager Randall H. Reid.

Given each year, the award honors one manager from Florida's 67 counties and 460 cities who has demonstrated dedicated leadership and commitment to the profession of local public management.

"I was very surprised," Reid said in speaking of the award, "Going to the conference I knew Alachua County had won the 'Community Sustainability Award' and the 'Program Excellence Award for Community Partnership', but winning the President's Award was an unexpected honor and a meaningful affirmation of the many years I have spent in public service.'
