Horner Receives Florida Associate Emergency Manager Credential

Alachua County Fire RescueALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County Fire Rescue’s Emergency Management Program Coordinator, Jennifer Horner has received the Florida Association Emergency Manager credential from the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association. Ms. Horner has been invited to the 2015 Florida Emergency Preparedness Association’s Annual Meeting in February, to be recognized for this achievement.

The certification process involves an extensive credentials package that includes work history, disaster or exercise experience, 125 hours of general and emergency management training, as well as four professional contributions in the emergency management field. Statewide, there are only 22 other emergency management professionals who have received this certification.

“Jen continues to do outstanding, professional work which is a credit to her, Fire Rescue and Alachua County.” said Emergency Management Director, Dave Donnelly.
