Hay Field Day

Hay Field DayALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Northeast Florida Livestock Agents Group is hosting the UF/IFAS Extension Hay Field Day on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Santa Fe River Ranch (29220 NW 122 Street, Alachua), from 9 a.m. (registration begins at 8:30 a.m.) to 2:15 p.m.

The field day will provide updates on various topics related to hay production along with field demonstrations. Topics include: heifer performance on Tifton-85 vs. Coastal bermudagrass, chute side handling, hayfield insecticides, weed identification, equipment demonstrations and pasture herbicide update.

The registration fee is $10.00 in advanced or $15.00 day of event (lunch will be served by Farm Credit). On-line registration is available through Eventbrite with an additional fee.
