Correction: Interstate 75 Nighttime Northbound and Southbound Lane Closures and Detours

The Interstate 75 southbound and northbound detours and lane closures scheduled for July 14 and July 18 have been rescheduled. Please see new detour/lane closure information below:

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Travelers on Interstate 75 will experience nighttime northbound and southbound single and double lane closures, just north of the Archer Road (Exit 384).

  • 8 p.m. to midnight, Sunday, July 17
  • 4 a.m. to 6 a.m., Monday, July 18
  • 8 p.m. to midnight, Thursday, July 21
  • 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. Friday, July 22


Beginning Sunday, July 17 through Monday, July 18, from midnight to 4 a.m., drivers traveling south on Interstate 75 will be detoured. The detour sends traffic to Newberry Road (Exit 387), then to S.W. 34th Street (State Road 121), then to Archer Road (State Road 24), and finally to Interstate 75 South.

The Newberry Road (State Road 26)/Interstate 75 southbound on-ramp will be closed. Drivers will be detoured to Tower Road, then to Archer Road (State Road 24), and finally to Interstate 75 South.

Beginning Thursday, July 21 through Friday, July 22, from midnight to 4 a.m., drivers traveling north on Interstate 75 will be detoured. The detour sends traffic to Archer Road (Exit 384), then to S.W. 34th Street (State Road 121), then to Newberry Road (State Road 26), and finally to Interstate 75 North.

The Archer Road/Interstate 75 northbound on-ramp will be closed. Drivers will be detoured to Tower Road, then to Newberry Road (State Road 26), and finally to Interstate 75 North.

The detour is needed to place concrete on the bridge deck for the Celebration Pointe (S.W. 30th Avenue) Bridge Project.
