Correction: Interstate 75 Nighttime Northbound and Southbound Lane Closures and Detours

​The Interstate 75 southbound detour will take place Thursday, July 21, 2016 from midnight through 4 a.m.  The Interstate 75 northbound detour scheduled for Friday, July 22 has been cancelled and will be rescheduled in the near future.

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Travelers on Interstate 75 will experience nighttime northbound and southbound single and double lane closures, just north of the Archer Road exit (Exit 384).

  • 8 p.m. to midnight, Wednesday, July 20
  • 4 a.m. to 6 a.m., Thursday, July 21


Beginning Thursday, July 21, from midnight through 4 a.m., drivers traveling south on Interstate 75 will be detoured to Newberry Road (Exit 387), then to S.W. 34th Street (State Road 121), then to Archer Road (State Road 24), and finally to Interstate 75 South.

The Newberry Road (State Road 26) Interstate 75 southbound on-ramp will be closed. Drivers will be detoured to Tower Road, then to Archer Road (State Road 24), and finally to Interstate 75 South.

The detours are needed to perform concrete deck pours for the Celebration Pointe Bridge (S.W. 30th Avenue Bridge).
