The Director of Public Works and the County Manager have approved the Animal Services Director's recommendation to change the operating hours of the John M. Snyder Animal Shelter.
Beginning January 3, 2006, the Animal Shelter will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This change adds an additional 4 hours to the Saturday operating schedule. The Animal Shelter will remain closed on Sundays, Mondays and holidays.
This change in operating hours is designed to provide the public with greater access to the shelter and its services on Saturdays. Services such as adoptions, reclaims or surrenders of animals as well as obtaining required licenses for dogs, cats and ferrets will be available.
