Homeowner Landscape Irrigation Workshop

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Environmental Protection Department is pleased to announce the following workshop as part of Water Conservation Month.  This program is being offered in partnership with Gainesville Regional Utilities and Alachua County Extension.  This program will be held at the Tower Road Library (3020 Southwest 75th St, Gainesville).

Homeowner Landscape Irrigation Workshop – April 12th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This class is for homeowners that want to learn how to identify and remedy the top 25 irrigation problems common in the landscape, as will be taught by certified irrigation designer, contractor, and auditor Steven King.  Wendy Wilber (Alachua County Extension) will discuss Florida Friendly Landscaping and Gainesville Regional Utilities will go over money saving rebates. Participants will also learn about irrigation restrictions and how these are being implemented in the county.
