ADA Workshop

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Equal Opportunity Office, along with the City of Gainesville’s Office of Equal Opportunity, is sponsoring a free ADA Workshop for local businesses and the general public on Thursday, July 26, 2012, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Freedom Community Center at Kanapaha/Veteran’s Park (7340 SW 41st Place, on the corner of Tower Road and 41st Place).

The workshop will cover new regulations under the Americans with Disabilities Act that significantly impact public and private entities. The speaker is Mr. Jack Humburg, Florida Network Administrator with the South East ADA Centers. Mr. Humburg has extensive experience in disability rights, affordable housing, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Florida Accessible Building Code.

Area hotel owners and businesses are encouraged to attend the workshop to learn how the revised regulations affect them.
