ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – Alachua County will hold a Fairgrounds Relocation Community Meeting on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at 6 p.m. at the Alachua County Fairgrounds, 3100 N.E 39th Av. Gainesville, FL 32609.
Alachua County is drafting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for alternative fairgrounds project partners and properties suitable for a new facility in the eastern portion of the County. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released in early November of 2012.
This County sponsored community meeting will be an opportunity for citizens to hear about the relocation process from the current fairgrounds to a new location. The County Commission supports the relocation in order to redevelop the existing site near the airport.
Eastside stakeholders and the general public are welcome to attend and provide input.
