The Alachua County Victim Services and Rape Crisis Center Seeks Volunteers

ALACHUA COUNTY - Duties are based on the volunteer’s interests and availability, and include immediate outreach to victims, short-term counseling, telephone and online hotline counseling, facilitating support groups, providing therapy under supervision of a licensed supervisor, giving community presentations, and assisting with special events and projects.  Thirty hours of training will be provided in crisis counseling and advocacy skills, with additional training as needed for certain positions.
