July Commercial Horticulture Program

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Commercial Horticulture Program for July, 2014. This program is being offered by Aparna Gazula, Commercial Horticulture Agent, at the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office (2800 NE 39 Avenue, Gainesville).

The Great CEU Round-Up – July 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Florida Turfgrass Association (FTGA) has teamed up with the Institute of Food & Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) to present “The Great CEU Round-Up,” a full day of education that will be simulcast to locations around Florida from the University of Florida, Gainesville via “PolyCom.”  The Round-Up has been designed to award up to six CEU’s to attendees in some of the most difficult to attain subject areas, including aquatic weed control, natural areas, right-of-way and forestry, among others.

Pre-registration cost: *IFAS employees: $10 (on-site registration $15), *public employees: $25 (on-site registration $37.50), and *industry professionals: $50 (on-site registration $75). Lunch will be provided.

Pre-registration deadline is July 1 (on-site pricing goes in effect), and registration closes on July 7.  To register and for additional information about this program, contact Aparna Gazula at 352-955-2402.
