ALACHUA COUNTY - On Saturday March 24, 2007 Gainesville High School will be hosting the Alachua County Track and Field Meet at the University of Florida Track. Before the start of the running finals, slated for 5 p.m., Alachua County Commissioner Rodney J. Long will be acknowledge for his years of service to the Alachua County Track Community. Commissioner Long recently retired from his track duties. He will be recognized for his past service as a volunteer, coach, official, and mentor to the youth of Alachua County.
