H1N1 Swine Flu Vaccination Clinics

This release sent at the request of the Alachua County Health Department.

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Health Department will be offering free H1N1 Swine Flu vaccines on Saturday January 9, 2010 at three sites in Alachua County.  The vaccination clinics will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations:

Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church
120 SE Williston Road, Gainesville
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  

Turkey Creek Clubhouse
11400 Turkey Creek Blvd., Alachua
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Butler Plaza Tent, (in front of Walmart and next to TGI Friday's)
3500 Block of Archer Road, Gainesville
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.               

"We are encouraging all citizens to receive the vaccination." stated Jean Munden, Administrator of the ACHD.  "Getting a vaccination is the primary means of preventing infection." 

This may be the last opportunity to receive the vaccination from the Health Department at remote locations as the need for future mass vaccination clinics continues to be assessed.  The vaccine will continue to be available for free at the Health Department's main site located at 224 SE 24th Street, Gainesville and at the Health Department's satellite clinic in the Hitchcock's Shopping Plaza in the City of Alachua, 15530 NW US HWY 441. Local pharmacies have ordered H1N1 vaccine and should be contacted directly for availability and costs.
