ALACHUA COUNTY — The City of Newberry has officially rescinded the boil water notice that was issued on Wednesday, May 17. The notice is rescinded following the satisfactory completion of a bacteriological survey showing that the water is safe to drink.
The City of Newberry had issued the boil water notice after a reported a water line break in their system. The notice had affected the area south of SW 15 Avenue, west of SW 254 Street, east of SW 260th Street, and north of SW 21st Place.
