Fly the Flags at Half-Staff on December 7, 2007

ALACHUA - On December 4, 2007, President George W. Bush, in honor of National Peal Harbor Remembrance Day 2007, issued a proclamation urging all Federal agencies, interested organizations, groups, and individuals to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff on December 7, 2007.
 
The Governor, in accordance with the Proclamation issued by President Bush dated December 4, 2007, has asked that all state and local governments join him in honor of those who died as a result of their service at Pearl Harbor by lowering their U.S. and state flags on December 7, 2007.
 
County Manager, Randall H. Reid has approved all flags on County properties to be lowered to half staff immediately.  Flags will remain at half staff until close of business today.  The flags will be lowered in accordance with the county flag lowering policy.
