Keep Alachua County Beautiful Tree Giveaway

Keep Alachua County Beautiful is holding a Tree Giveaway on four consecutive weekends starting Friday, January 20. The giveaway will take place at Harmony Gardens in Greenery Square, 5416 NW 8th Avenue, Gainesville. A total of 1000 trees will be given away to Alachua County residents. The Tree Giveaway dates are January 20-21, January 27-28, February 3-4, and February 10-11. There will be 250 trees given away each weekend and it will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. both Friday and Saturday. If the giveaway runs out of the 250 trees on a Friday, there will be no giveaway that Saturday, and then they'll start again the next week.

Giveaway trees will include Live Oak, Red Maple, Bald Cypress, Yaupon Holly, Savannah Holly, East Palatka Holly, River Birch, Crape Myrtle and Chickasaw Plum. Each resident is allowed one tree and will be required to show proof of residency. Valid forms of proof include a driver’s license, voter registration card, or current electricity, phone, or cable bill.
