ALACHUA
COUNTY, FL – The Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization (MTPO) for
the Gainesville Urbanized Area will conduct its
Regular Business Meeting on Monday, October 6, 2014. The meeting
begins at 3 p.m. in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (Room 209) on the second floor
of the Alachua County Administration Building located at 12 SE 1st Street,
Gainesville, Florida.
The
voting members of the MTPO are the five Alachua County Commissioners and the six
City of Gainesville Commissioners and Mayor. Non-voting members are The
University of Florida President’s designee, a Rural Advisor designated by the
Alachua County League of Cities and the Florida Department of Transportation
District 2 Secretary’s designee.
Staff
services to the MTPO are provided by the North Central Florida Regional Planning
Council. The MTPO is responsible for the continuing, comprehensive and
cooperative urban transportation planning program for the Gainesville
Metropolitan Area. This planning program is required in order to receive
federal and state funds for transportation projects.

Business Meeting. In addition, there is an opportunity for
