new websiteALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Information Services Department has recently completed a series of updates to the functionality of the Alachua County website. The updates improve citizens’ ability to search and navigate information, and offer easy access to the information and services that are most important to them.

“Our goal is to help citizens find the information they are searching for on the County’s website as quickly and easily as possible,” stated Kevin Smith, Director of the Information Services Department. “Citizens can now search and navigate the site using new features that will allow direct access to the most frequently requested information and give citizens the opportunity to inquire or suggest items of interest to the County Manager.”

Improvements to the site’s navigation include quick access to information regarding services that citizens search for most often, and a broader list of County offices and agencies.  In addition, a “Business Resources” menu has been added, allowing those who do business in the County, or those looking to do business in the County, quick access to various resources the County’s Economic Development office has to offer.  Citizens can utilize the site’s search feature on desktop computers as well as mobile devices, to quickly get information on-the-go.

County staff will monitor the website database and provide updates to the search and navigation options in order to provide citizens the easiest access to the information that matters most to them.
