November Environmental Horticulture Programs

Alachua County on the Move Garden Event

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Cooperative Extension Office is pleased to announce the following Environmental Horticulture Programs for November, 2012. These programs are being offered by Wendy Wilber, Environmental Horticulture Agent, at the Extension Office (2800 NE 39 Avenue, Gainesville).

Raised Bed Winter Vegetable Gardening – November 7, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Topics include which crops grow in the winter vegetable garden and the efficient technique of growing your produce in raised beds. Demonstration gardens located onsite.

Growing Blueberries & Peaches – November 21, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Topics include which varieties grow in Alachua County and proper pruning & fertilizing techniques.

There is no charge for these programs. Space is limited so pre-registration is recommended by calling 352-337-6209.
