Affordable Housing Advisory Committee Vacancies

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County is seeking to fill several vacancies for the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC). AHAC’s mission is to review Alachua County’s established policies and procedures, ordinances, and land development regulations. They recommend actions or initiatives to encourage affordable housing to the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners. Residents interested in preserving and expanding the availability of safe, affordable housing for very low to low income families in Alachua County are encouraged to apply.

AHAC is seeking positions such as those engaged in the banking or mortgage industry, residential home building industry, essential services personnel industry, and employers within the County. AHAC meetings are typically held every third Thursday at 6 p.m. at the County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).
