The Day Reporting Program is an innovative community program that provides an intensive form of supervision for pretrial defendants and probationers. Supervision activities are designed to address public safety concerns and provide structure for participants' activities. They include preparing and maintaining a daily agenda of activities, frequent contact, with the program and urinalysis and breathalyzer testing. Services are designed to deal with the complex problems common to participants and include substance abuse treatment, batterer's intervention, anger management, educational assistance and employment placement. Some services are delivered on-site while others are provided within the community.

Population Served

The Day Reporting Program supervises pretrial release defendants, those sentenced to county probation and those on violation of probation status. Pretrial defendants may be accepted from any criminal court event. The target population includes those with the following charges: Pretrial Felony offenses, Pretrial or Sentenced Habitual Misdemeanor or Traffic offenses, Domestic Violence, Substance-Abuse related offenses, DUI, and County Violation of Probation charges. All candidates are screened for program eligibility by the Centralized Screening Team.

Services are designed to deal with the complex problems common to offenders and include Mental Health services, Substance Abuse Treatment, Anger Management, Batterer's Intervention, Educational Assistance and Employment Assistance. Some services are delivered on-site while others are provided by community agencies. Supervision activities include daily accountability checks, urinalysis and breathalyzer testing.

Fees
Fees

There is a twenty dollar ($20.00) weekly program fee for all participants which can be converted to community service hours, for those who cannot afford the fee. Probationers may also incur restitution, court costs, and fines. Participants are assessed additional fees for batterer's intervention program intake and anger managements.
