4-12-22 County Commission Regular Meeting

The Alachua County Commission will conduct its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville). The daytime meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. The evening meeting begins at 5 p.m.

Masks are strongly encouraged when social distancing is not possible. The public may view the meeting on Cox Channel 12 and the County’s Video on Demand website.

Public comment will be taken for each agenda item and the public will also have an opportunity to speak about items not on the agenda at noon and 5:30 p.m. Members of the public who wish to speak are asked to limit their comments to three minutes.

  • Approval of a Proclamation declaring April 10, through 16, 2022 as “National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week” in Alachua County, Florida
  • Approval of a Proclamation declaring April 2022 as “National Healthcare Decisions Month” in Alachua County, Florida
  • Approval of a Proclamation declaring April 22, 2022 as “Earth Day 2022” in Alachua County, Florida
  • Approval of a Proclamation declaring April 2022 as “Fair Housing Month” in Alachua County, Florida

Evening item of interest:

  • ZOX-01-22: A public hearing to consider a request by Bobi J. Frank and Leonard E. Ireland, Jr., agents, for Gregory W. Parsons, owner, for a special exception to allow a private motorized vehicle practice facility. The site is approximately 20.55 acres and has Agriculture (A) zoning and a future land use designation of Rural/Agriculture (one dwelling unit per five acres), located on tax parcel number 04094-002-000 at 17768 N.W. 62nd Avenue.
