The Alachua County Commission will conduct both a Special Meeting and a Joint City of Waldo Special Meeting on Thursday, May 16, 2019. The Special Meeting begins at 10 a.m., in the Grace Knight Conference Room, located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville). The Joint City of Waldo Special Meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Waldo School (14450 N.E. 148th Avenue, Waldo).
The 10 a.m. Special Meeting agenda includes:
- Judiciary Budget Request
- Sheriff Budget Request
- Supervisor of Elections Budget Request
- Property Appraiser Budget Request
- Clerk of Court Budget Request
- Tax Collector Budget Request

The 7 p.m. Joint City of Waldo Special Meeting agenda includes:
- Gas Tax
- Bike Path
- Complete Streets

The public is invited to attend the meetings. The 10 a.m. will be available to view live on Facebook and the County’s Video on Demand website. It will be available on Cox Channel 12, but will be preempted at 1:30 p.m. for the City of Gainesville’s Regular Meeting. The 7 p.m. Joint City of Waldo Special Meeting will not be available online or on Channel 12.
