5-17-23 Planning Commission Meeting

The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville). This meeting begins at 6 p.m. Masks for vulnerable citizens are strongly recommended.

The Committee will take public comment in person only. The public may view the meeting on the County's Video on Demand website.

Z22-000013: Bessette Special Exception – This is a request by Byron Flagg, agent, for Eugene Bessette, owner, for a special exception to permit commercial animal raising on approximately 7 acres in the 'A' (Agriculture) zoning district with a Rural/Agriculture land use designation (one dwelling unit per 5 acres) on parcels 04712-004-000 and 04712-004-001. It is located at 13916 S.W. Archer Road. If approved, the special exception would permit commercial raising of exotic species as an allowed use on these parcels with conditions as found in the exception.
