Alachua County Emergency Management invites residents to attend the Alachua County Mitigation Project Ranking Task Force meeting on October 28, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This meeting is via zoom. Attendees must register by sending an email to
acem@alachuacounty.us.
Attendees learn about the Project Ranking Task Force and its role as a subcommittee of the Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS) Working Group. The group will be revising scoring procedures during this meeting. No projects will be ranked during this meeting.
“The public is invited and encouraged to attend,” said Emergency Management Director Jen Grice. “The Alachua County Mitigation Project Ranking Task Force is responsible for ranking mitigation projects in Alachua County. These projects are prioritized for funding opportunities based on their scoring.”
Membership in the LMS Working Group is open to all jurisdictions, County government, private organizations, civic organizations, trade and commercial support groups, property owners’ associations, authorized tribal organizations, state agencies, regional planning councils, independent special districts, and non-profit organizations.
