Alachua County is advertising a Call-to-Artists (CTA) for a statue on the West Lawn of the County Administration Building. Submittals are due to Alachua County Procurement by Wednesday, February 26, 2020 no later than 2 p.m.
The statue will be installed on a 12’x12’ concrete slab on the SE corner of University and Main Street (located at 12 SE 1 St., Gainesville). The desired statue should reflect the shared values and aspirations of the community and should not honor a person, historical event or a political figure and should reflect the peace, love and justice that should prevail in Alachua County. The budget for the project is $40,000.
Artists or artist teams are encouraged to apply.
