At the February 27, 2018, Alachua County Commission Regular Meeting, the Board passed a Resolution calling upon Florida Governor Rick Scott and the Florida Legislature to pass the necessary statewide legislation to protect Floridians and lift the preemptions that prevent counties from taking the actions needed to protect their citizens regarding gun control measures. The Resolution passed unanimously.
