The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Family and Consumer Sciences program for February 2024. This program is offered by Martha B. Maddox, an agent of Family & Consumer Sciences.
Save Time and Money with Master Mixes – Feb. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a Zoom webinar.
In this class, participants learn to save time and money while preparing master mixes they can use at home instead of bought mixes. By preparing the mixes yourself, you can control the final product, the nutritional value, and the quality and quantity of the ingredients. In addition, you can limit/reduce fat, sodium, sugar, and additives in your food. Individuals will receive a booklet containing all the information on making and using the mixes and recipes.
The registration fee is $15.00 (plus $2.85 Eventbrite fee). Participants must
register online by Feb. 19. A confirmation email with instructions and a Zoom link will be sent to registrants. Alachua County employees who would like to attend this class must register through the link provided by Alachua County Wellness Works. The class is limited to 50 participants. There are no refunds for the registration fee.
