Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR) invites residents to an open meeting to discuss the its master plan on Aug. 27, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alachua County Training Center (5801 NW 34th Blvd., Gainesville).
The master plan is a crucial document that outlines ACFR’s strategies and priorities for fire protection, emergency medical services, and disaster preparedness. Given the importance of this plan in safeguarding the community, public input and feedback are invaluable.
"Public participation is vital as it helps us ensure that the plan addresses the needs and concerns of all community members," said Fire Rescue Chief Harold Theus. "We encourage everyone to attend, share their perspectives, and contribute to the development of a plan that will enhance our community's resilience and safety."
