Alachua County Fire Rescue is holding their third annual Firefighter for a Day event on Saturday, March 3, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Loften High School (3000 East University Avenue, Gainesville). The event is free and open to adults and children of all ages. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Visitors can put on bunker gear, spray a fire hose, and perform a search and rescue. There will also be CPR and Jaws of Life demonstrations.
Fire trucks and ambulances will be on display for tours. Information will be on hand about all of the programs that Alachua County Fire Rescue has to offer.
