The Florida Department of Health in Alachua County is hosting a Florida Healthy Babies meeting in collaboration with the Department of Children and Families’ Child Fatality Prevention Partnership. The meeting is on Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., in the Alachua County Health Department’s Thomas Coward Auditorium (224 S.E. 24th Street, Gainesville). All those interested are encouraged to attend.
The meeting includes presentations about immunizations, special needs car seats, the Coordinated Intake and Referral Program, the North Central Florida Breastfeeding Coalition, the Department of Children and Families’ Child Fatality Prevention Program, and the Perinatal Program. \
During this holiday season, donations of diapers or non-perishable food items are appreciated and will be gratefully accepted at the meeting by the All Bottoms Covered Diaper Bank, and the Food4Kids Backpack program.
