Independence-Day-Schedules

Other than emergency services, all Alachua County government offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, in observance of the Independence Day Holiday.

Schedules for curbside waste collection and collection centers

Residential curbside collection service for solid waste, recycling, and yard trash will be delayed by one day due to the observance of Independence Day on Wednesday, July 4th.  Collection regularly scheduled for Wednesday will be picked up on Thursday and so on through the week. The regular schedule will resume on Monday, July 9th. On Monday, July 2nd, and Tuesday, July 3rd, collection service will not be affected.

The Office of Waste Collection, the Hazardous Waste Collection Center, and the Leveda Brown Environmental Park and Transfer Station will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th, and will reopen on Thursday, July 5th.

The five Alachua County Rural Collection Centers will not be affected by the holiday and will be open for their regularly scheduled operational hours.
