The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following 4-H Program for July 2018. This program is being offered by Amanda Morgan, 4-H Agent, at the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office (2800 N.E. 39th Avenue, Gainesville).
Build Your Own Sandwich: Meats, Protein & Peanuts Day Camp – from July 23 to July 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Youth will learn about how the different ingredients in sandwiches are made such as bread, sausage, veggies and peanuts. They will tour local farms, nurseries, UF facilities, etc. to learn more about agriculture in Alachua County. The last day of the camp will finish with a grocery store challenge where youth shop for their ingredients to make a healthy sandwich on a budget.
Participants must register online by July 16th. The registration cost is $85.00. There are no refunds for registration costs. Participants must bring a bagged lunch. Snacks will be provided.
