The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Commercial Horticulture program for June 2024. This program is being offered by Dr. Tatiana Sanchez-Jones, Commercial Horticulture Agent.
Ag Entrepreneurship and Farm Business Planning Online-based Short Course– June 7 to June 27 (self-paced) with live Zoom meetings on June 13, 20, and 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (with Kevin Athearn, Regional Specialized Agent, Rural and Agribusiness Development)
This three-week short course prepares you to develop a farm business. Topics include business planning, regulations, enterprise evaluation, marketing, and financial planning. You are expected to participate in self-paced online activities during the three weeks of the course and attend live meetings on Thursdays, June 13, 20, and 27. The first two meetings (June 13 and 20) will be virtually only (Zoom). You may attend the last meeting (June 27) virtually (Zoom) or in person at the Alachua County Ag Auditorium (22716 W. Newberry Road, Newberry).
Participants must register online by June 3. The registration fee includes two books.
