June Environmental Horticulture Program

​The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Environmental Horticulture program for June 2024. This program is offered by Environmental Horticulture Agent Dr. Cynthia Nazario-Leary and Master Gardener volunteers.

Countertop Hydroponics for Beginners – June 11, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Alachua County Ag Auditorium (22716 W. Newberry Road, Newberry)

Discover how to cultivate a range of plants hydroponically right from your kitchen countertop throughout the year. Explore different hydroponic systems, from store-bought options to cost-effective ones you can create at home. The presenter will cover container choices, seed germination, growing mediums, nutrient solutions/circulation, grow lights, and transplanting.

There is no registration fee, but participants must register online. It is limited to 100 participants.
