The Northeast Florida Livestock Agents Group is hosting the UF/IFAS Extension Livestock and Forages Field Day on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Santa Fe River Ranch (29220 N.W. 122 Street, Alachua), from 8:45 a.m. (registration begins at 8 a.m.) to 2:15 p.m.
The field day will provide updates on various topics related to hay production along with field demonstrations. Topics include a Smutgrass demonstration, chute-side handling, cattle body condition scoring, sprayer calibration, soil fertility, forage varieties, and toxic weeds.
The registration fee is $10.00 in advanced or $15.00 day of event (lunch will be served by Farm Credit). Participants can register online (with an additional fee).
