Meridian Healthcare CEO Maggie Labarta Featured on Alachua County Talks

Maggie Labarta​ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – A new edition of Alachua County Talks with President and CEO for Meridian Behavioral Healthcare Dr. Maggie Labarta, premieres Friday, August 10th, 2018, on Community 12 TV (Cox Cable Channel 12) at 7:30 p.m.

Meridian’s mission is to promote the health, recovery, and well-being of those affected by mental illnesses and substance use disorders through prevention, coordinated treatment, and supportive services.

Meridian is a private, non-profit organization with roots in the community mental health movement, which began in the 1960s, to bring education about mental illnesses and substance use disorders and treatment of those affected to the local level.

“Maggie has been on the show many times,” host Mark Sexton said. “It is always a privilege to check in with her and keep the public informed and aware of the great services offered by Meridian.”


The latest editions of Alachua County Talks air on Cox Channel 12 at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. every night except Thursday, and at 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. and 12 a.m. every day. Special or regular County Commission and Gainesville City Commission meetings may preempt any showing.
