The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Family and Consumer Sciences program for November 2020. This program is being offered by Martha B. Maddox, Family & Consumer Sciences Extension Agent IV.
Freezing it Safely – November 19, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This is a Zoom webinar (with Melanie Thomas and LuAnn Duncan).
This webinar covers the advantages and disadvantages of freezing, how much freezing affects food, freezer selection, food safety guidelines, packing materials, and freezing guidelines and methods.
There is no registration fee. Participants must
register online (those needing assistance with registering can call the Extension Office at 352-955-2402). Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. This program is limited to 250 participants.
