The Alachua County Community Support Services’ Office of Community Stabilization, the City of Gainesville and Depot Park have partnered together for our 2nd Annual Family Information/Children “Happyween” Fun Day. This event is at Depot Park (200 Southeast Depot Ave, Gainesville) on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Happyween connects families with local agencies, organizations, law enforcement, emergency management services, County and City fire rescue services, health, waste management, housing and employment services. Agencies will assist citizens with questions and give referrals if needed.
Children’s activities include children car seat/bicycle safety demonstrations, face painting, performances, and raffles. This event is a safe place for our children to trick or treat with their parents close by.
“There are numerous services in our community that citizens are not aware of,” said Alachua County Community Stabilization Program Manager Marie Small. “Since there is no one-stop location for information, it is very important that we take services and information to our communities.”
