The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Agriculture and Natural Resources Program for September 2018. This program is being offered by Dr. Kevin Korus, Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent, at the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office (2800 N.E. 39th Avenue, Gainesville).
Introduction to Hops Production – September 20, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
This workshop is designed to cover the basics of starting a successful hopyard in North Florida. There will be specialists from the University of Florida and local industry representatives to share information on set-up, variety selection, pest and disease management, cone quality, harvesting, and marketing.
Participants must register online. The registration fee is $10.00. There are no refunds for registration fees. The workshop is limited to 40 participants.
