The seventh annual 4-H Little Run on the Prairie 5k will be held on December 7, 2019. The race begins at 8:30 a.m. (registration is from 7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.), at the Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park (100 Savannah Blvd., Micanopy).
The race entry fee includes chip timing, park admission, hydration stations on course, post-race refreshments, and age group awards. Early entry is $30 for adults 19 years old or over. The youth entry fee is $20 for 18 years old and under. There is an adult no shirt option, for $20. The day of race entry fee is $35 and does not include a shirt.
This event raises scholarship funds for youth to attend summer programs. Last year’s event provided scholarships for over 30 youths to attend camps, workshops, and more. The 5k is for those who want to walk or run, and there will be many opportunities to learn about 4-H and the Healthy Living program.
