Solar Power Cooperative Featured on Alachua County Talks


League of Women Voters, Alachua Solar Organizer Wes WheelerALACHUA COUNTY, FL – A new edition of Alachua County Talks featuring an interview with Alachua League of Women Voters Solar Organizer Wes Wheeler premieres Friday July 14, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. on Cox Cable Channel 12, Community 12 TV. The program focuses on the League’s partnership with the non-profit organization FL SUN to form the Alachua County Solar Co-Op, with the goal of making it easier to save money on the purchase of solar panels, while building a community of local solar supporters.

In speaking of the program, Alachua County Talks host Mark Sexton said, “The Alachua County Solar Co-op offers County residents a great opportunity to save money on solar panels now, so they can save on energy for years to come. The latest editions of Alachua County Talks air on Cox Channel 12 at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. every night except Thursday, and at 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. and 12 a.m. every day. Special or regular County Commission and Gainesville City Commission meetings may preempt any showing.
