Alachua County Animal Services is hosting their annual “Summer Lovin’” adoption event on Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Alachua County Animal Services Headquarters (3400 N.E. 53rd Avenue, Gainesville). Summer Lovin’ is sponsored by the Student Chapter of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians and the Wagmore Foundation.
All adoptions fees are waived at this event, and there will be food, music, and free goody bags for adopters.
“We will have puppies, kittens, cats, and dogs all looking for their forever families,” said Alachua County Shelter Supervisor Jane Grantman. “Summer days are drifting away, so don’t miss out on this rockin’ event.”
Pet adopters must be 18 or older and show ID with proof of current address. If there are already pets in the home, the potential adopter must show proof that owned animals are current on rabies vaccinations and licenses. All dogs and cats available for adoption are examined, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered before leaving Animal Services.
