The 2024 Survivors of Violence Art Exhibit

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and Alachua County Victim Services & Rape Crisis Center is hosting the 2024 Survivors of Violence Art Exhibit in partnership with the Harn Museum of Art. The opening reception is on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Harn Museum of Art (3259 Hull Road, Gainesville). The reception is free and open to the public. Art will be on display for the month of April.

"The Center is honored to have the opportunity to work with artists who created works that express a range of experiences and stages in the healing process,” said Laura Kalt, director of the Alachua County Victim Services & Rape Crisis Center. “From the deep emotional devastation that sexual and physical violence can cause, to the liberation that comes with recognizing one's personal power to speak and express one's truth, the exhibit will both challenge and uplift participants."
