4-15-26 Planning Commission Meeting

​The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 SE 1st St., Gainesville). This meeting begins at 6 p.m.

The committee will take public comments in person only. The meeting can be viewed on Cox Channel 12, the AC TV app (Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Roku), or the county’s video-on-demand website.

Items for the Planning Commission meeting:

Z26-000002 UF Golf Phase 1 Special Area Plan – This is a request by England-Thims and Miller, Inc. (Lindsay Haga, agent) for the University of Florida Foundation, Inc. (owner) for a large-scale land use amendment, amending the future land use designation from Rural/Agriculture (one dwelling unit per five acres) to Institutional on approximately 580 acres located on Parcel #04492-001-001 on the east side of SW 122nd Street (Parker Road), south of Myra Terwilliger Elementary School. This application is associated with Z26-000004, a request to rezone this same parcel from 'A' (Agriculture) to 'PD' (Planned Development).

Z26-000006 Wahoo Springhills Small-Scale Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment – This is a request by Clay Sweger of eda consultants, inc., agent, for Thirty-Ninth Avenue Limited Partnership, owners, for a small-scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment, amending the future land use designation from Tourist/Entertainment to Commercial on tax parcel number 06233-002-002. The site is approximately 1.36 acres and is located at 3833 NW 97th Blvd. This application is associated with Z26-000007, a request to rezone this same parcel from BH to BR.

The site is approximately 1.36 acres and is located at 3833 NW 97th Blvd. This application is associated with Z26-000006, a request for a small-scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment, amending the future land use designation from Tourist/Entertainment to Commercial on this same parcel.
