6-16-21 Planning Commission Meeting

The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville). This meeting begins at 6 p.m. The public may offer comments virtually and in person.

Masking in the meeting is now voluntary. Alachua County strongly recommends that those not vaccinated wear a mask.

For the public who attend virtually, once the public comment is opened for an item under discussion, please call 929-505-6099 (enter meeting code 273 174 8038). Callers will be put in a queue, and prompted when it is their turn to speak. TO AVOID FEEDBACK, SPEAKERS MUST TURN DOWN THE VOLUME ON THEIR DEVICE WHEN ADDRESSING THE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE. Callers should state their names and limit comments to two minutes. When prompted for in-person comment, in-person participants should follow the direction of the Chair to participate.

Items for the Planning Commission Meeting:

CPA-04-21 Bhullar Large Scale Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment –  This item is a request by Clay Sweger of eda consultants, inc., agent, for Sugarfoot Holdings, LLC, owners, for a large-scale map amendment to change the land use from Medium High Density Residential (greater than 8, up to 14 units/acre) to Medium Density Residential (greater than 4, up to 8 units/acre). The site is in the R-2 and R-2a zoning district (multi-family residential) and is located on tax parcel numbers 06877-000-000, 06877-004-000 and 06877-030-000 on approximately 22.3 acres. The property is located to the east of Kimball Wiles Elementary School. This large-scale Comprehensive Plan amendment, if approved, would reduce the allowed density on the property from a maximum of 312 residential units down to a maximum of 178 residential units.  For more information, contact Senior Planner Gerald L. ZOX-02-21 Lawn Enforcement Agency Major Amendment to Special Exception – This is a request by eda, Inc., agent, for Troiano Family Trust, owners, for a major amendment to a special exception for agricultural services (landscaping) on approximately 5.1 acres on a portion of tax parcel number 07234-000-000 located at 4786 S.W. 85th Ave. The parcel has a future land use designation of Rural/Agriculture (1 dwelling unit/ 5 acres) and is in the Agriculture zoning district.
